- The series offers a unique perspective on the music industry
AP Dhillon's incredible journey from a young man leaving Gurdaspur for higher education in Canada to becoming a global music phenomenon is now on display in the docu-series 'AP Dhillon: First of a Kind' streaming exclusively on Prime Video. The series sheds light on AP Dhillon's hustle, evolution, and the story that led him to inspire countless aspiring artists.
A Tale of Determination and Belief
The docu-series showcases AP Dhillon's achievements and serves as a source of inspiration for dreamers worldwide. His motivation behind the project reflects his desire to instill a sense of belief in others, emphasizing that even the most daunting challenges can be overcome with perseverance.
AP Dhillon on Motivation Behind The Docu-series
Talking about his motivation behind the docu-series, AP Dhillon said, "What we want the audience to take away from this is an inspiration to dream big and achieve big. Immigrating to a new country presented us with a world of challenges we simply were not prepared for, and there are thousands if not millions, of people like us who have or currently are facing similar realities. We want people to know that with hard work and an immense sense of belief, nothing is impossible. It is a story as old as time, however, we are living proof that anything you put your mind to is achievable."
Peering into Personal Lives
The series offers a rare opportunity for fans to step into the lives of these influential musicians. Reflecting on the process, Shinda Kahlon, Dhillon's label mate under their Canada-based Run-Up Records, acknowledges the risk of revealing personal aspects to strangers. Shinda said, "It was a lot more work than we had imagined when we first started. Giving people, you have just met, close personal access to your life and business is always a risky endeavour. However, we are thankful for everyone who has helped in the making of this docu-series. We like to keep things organic, and the teams around us respected that and helped us narrate our story in the most authentic way possible. For that, we are grateful."
Collaborative Creation
The four-part docu-series proves the team's hard work and dedication, produced by PASSION Pictures in collaboration with Wild Sheep Content and Run-Up Records. Directed by Jay Ahmed, the series captures the essence of AP Dhillon's journey, making it a must-watch for those seeking inspiration.
