Uorfi Javed Says Dhanashree Verma Reached out To Her: "She Thanked Me For The Support"

Uorfi Javed has recently revealed that Dhanashree Verma had contacted her, thanking her for her support throughout the unwarranted outrage on social media following her divorce proceedings with Yuzvendra Chahal. Uorfi further stated that Dhanashree was 'going through a difficult time' in her life.

Dhanashree has been subjected to social media trolling during her divorce procedures with Yuzvendra. In a recent podcast with Humans of Bombay, Uorfi discussed how women are always blamed in incidents involving male athletes. The social media sensation also stated that she stood by Dhanashree and even made a lengthy post in her favour following the constant social media abuse. Dhanashree then personally contacted her to express her gratitude.

"I had posted a story in support of her, because I thought she was being treated very unfairly. She reached out to me and thanked me for the support as she was going through a very difficult time," Uorfi said.

In her original post, Uorfi included a lengthy remark about Natasa Stankovik and Hardik Pandya's divorce. She also mentioned that Anushka Sharma has previously been blamed for Virat Kohli's performance in matches. Without mentioning Dhanashree or Yuzvendra, Uorfi's Instagram story read, "Every time a cricketer is breaking up or getting divorced, the woman is bashed left right and center just because in our head our cricketer is our hero. None of us have any idea what happened between the two or even during Natasha and Hardik's case, but of course, it's the woman who is at fault."

She further added, "Oh and don't forget the time when Anushka was blamed for Virat's bad performances. Remember? So it's always the woman who is to be blamed for the man's action? These are grown men with fully functioning brains who know what they are doing."

Uorfi Javed also commented on how cricketers' wives are constantly criticised for marrying for money when their relationships fail. "In our minds, cricketers are heroes who never do anything wrong. Is the cricketer not a sensible individual? Couldn't he tell if the girl married him for money?" she said. Recently, during the India vs. New Zealand Champions Trophy 2025 final in Dubai, Chahal was seen with RJ Mahvash, a well-known radio jockey and social media influencer. This appearance has sparked dating rumors, especially given the ongoing speculations about his marital status.
