Amidst these discussions, Masoom Minawala, a fashion blogger and influencer, shared a picture featuring Kyra, India's first meta influencer.
In her post, Masoom wrote: "Did you know: India now has its very first Virtual influencer, @kyraonig. Like every other industry, as AI slowly but surely penetrates its wings into mine, I can't help but sit up and take notice. I recently discovered this phenomenon, and my initial shock was followed by amazement."
In her post, Masoom Minawala shared the concept of metaverse influencers with her followers. She explained how this concept works by stating that virtual influencers are brought to life through the use of AI and CGI technology. These influencers are specifically designed to emulate the appearance and behaviour of real human influencers, despite being wholly computer-generated.
Masoom emphasized that every aspect of a virtual influencer's personality can be meticulously crafted, including their likes, dislikes, physical appearance, fashion style, and background. This level of curation allows virtual influencers to possess the same ability as traditional influencers to influence people's decisions.
While this development has clear pros and cons, Masoom is interested in hearing the thoughts of her followers. She asks: "What are your thoughts? Would you follow a Virtual influencer? How do you think this change would impact the creator economy?"
One of her followers, creator Rini Jain, shared her opinion: "As a Creator and an Engineer myself, I am happy about the AI advancements in the industry. I am excited to see how creators can make use of AI to ease their work, create content, and influence their audience. However, AI cannot replace human beings due to the lack of creativity. Unlike machines, humans possess the unique ability to think creatively and generate new and original ideas. Creativity is a complex human trait influenced by emotions, culture, and experiences."
