Sunita Ahuja Lashes Out at Divorce Rumors: "Don't Believe Anything..."

Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja have been making the headlines with divorce rumors. Now, Sunita has lashed out at those spreading “negativity" about their marriage. Recently, Sunita addressed speculations about her marriage and urged everyone not to pay attention to divorce rumours and made it clear that she and Govinda are still together.

Sunita Ahuja Addresses Divorce Rumors:

Speaking to ABP News, she said, "Positive hai ya negative hai. Positive hai mujhe pata hai. Mai sochti hu kuttey hai log bhaukenge (Whether it is positive or negative, I take it positively. I think they are dogs, so they will bark)" 

She added, “Till the time you don't hear it from mine or Govinda's mouth, don't believe anything."

About Divorce Rumours:

Earlier this year, several media reports claimed that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have decided to part ways owing to constant disagreements and varied lifestyles. It was also said that Govinda's growing closeness to a 30-year-old Marathi actor is reportedly a major factor in their alleged split.

Later, when ETimes contacted Govinda, he reacted by saying, “These are only business talks going…I am in the process of starting my films."

Following this, their lawyer also confirmed that even though the couple filed for divorce six months back, they are getting back together now. Lalit Bindal, who is also the actor's family friend, shared that Govinda and Sunita are “going strong" and that they will always be together.

“We also travelled to Nepal during the New Year and performed puja together at Pashupati Nath Mandir. Everything is fine between them now. Such things keep happening between couples, but they are going strong and will always be together," he told India Today.

The lawyer also accused social media of using Sunita Ahuja's quotes from her recent interviews, conveniently against the couple. “Like when she said mujhe Govinda jaisa pati nahi chaiye (I don't want Govinda as my husband in next birth), she did add that she wanted a son like him. Or when she said that he was with his own valentine, she meant he was working. It is unfortunate that people are only talking negatively about them when the couple is together, and I can assure that they will always be. No divorce is going to happen," he added.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been married for 37 years now. They are parents to two children – Tina and Yashvardan.
