Skand Thakur on Losing Work Due to Fewer Followers: "My Bitterness for Instagram..."

Skand Thakur, who was recently seen in the movie 'Article 370' co-starring Yami Gautam,  has opened up about losing out on work opportunities due to his follower count on Instagram. He mentioned that he was told by the makers that his audition was perfect, everything was fine but his followers were not up to the mark.

"Didn't Have The Number Of Followers..."

In an exclusive conversation with Free Press Journal, he said, "My bitterness towards Instagram is very personal. Because I have lost work opportunities due to Instagram. I was told that my audition was better and that my look was perfect for the character and how it was supposed to be. I completely fit in the bill but I didn't have the number of followers that's why I didn't get the work."

"It Happened Multiple Times..."

He added, "I was like I was doing something WRONG by not being active on social media. I am the kind of person, who doesn't even like to pose for the camera and this didn't happen once, it happened multiple times. I lost 2 or 3 good projects because I didn't have the amount of followers they were looking for on Instagram."

This is not the first time actors have opened up about losing work because of social media presence. Several other actors have raised the same questions about the makers for not selecting them due to low fan following on social media.
