Social media sensation Shehnaaz Gill made headlines with her shocking weight loss. Recently, she opened up about her diet plan in a conversation with Shilpa Shetty Kundra on Mirchi Plus. Shehnaaz revealed that with a proper diet and by including regular workouts in her daily routine she attained a massive physical transformation in just 6 months. 

A Glimpse Into How She Kick-starts Her Day:

Shehnaaz begins her day with turmeric. While turmeric is good for health management, using it the right way can give benefits else it is a waste to eat this spice. She revealed in the interview that she begins her day with a cup of tea and turmeric water along with apple cider vinegar.

After proper hydration, Shehnaaz opts for a healthy breakfast which is mostly moong, dosa, or methi parathas. Her breakfast is mostly protein and keeps an eye on the portion size. She also has poha for breakfast but prefers to have more veggies than poha in the recipe. Apart from this, she uses cumin, mustard seeds, and veggies like broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers to poha. With this, she likes to have a bowl of granola and curd.

Her lunch is mostly clean, healthy, and nutritious. Shehnaaz prefers having dal, salad comprising sprouts, tofu scramble, and a roti with ghee. Her lunch plate is a balance of protein, carbs, and fiber.

How She Wraps Up Her Day:

Dinner is the most important part of the day and how you manage your dinner plate can determine a lot about your weight loss journey.

During the evening, Shehnaaz roasts a few makhana in ghee. Makhana (fox nuts) is rich in protein, fiber, and antioxidants, it supports weight loss, digestion, and heart health. Its low-calorie and low-fat content makes it a perfect snack for healthy eating. Makhana is also high in magnesium, calcium, and phosphorus, promoting strong bones and reducing the risk of osteoporosis. The presence of flavonoids boosts immunity and fights inflammation.

For dinner, she prefers a plate of khichdi with curd and doodhi ka soup. Eating a light dinner improves digestion, sleep quality, and overall health. A lighter meal reduces acid reflux, bloating, and indigestion, allowing the stomach to process food efficiently. It helps maintain a healthy metabolism.
