Shalini Passi on Receiving Immense Love: "I'm Absolutely Overwhelmed..."

Shalini Passi got overnight fame with her appearance in Netflix's 'Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives'. Now, she has opened up about receiving immense love after her series and how she has become an internet sensation. She mentioned that she had expected some fame but not this much love.

"I Am  Absolutely Overwhelmed..."

Speaking to Hindustan Times, she said, "I'm absolutely overwhelmed and really humbled by the response. I had expected some fame with the series as it's a very popular series and it's on Netflix which is such a huge platform. But what I had not anticipated was the love. The love that is pouring over the internet."

"People are Calling Me National Sweetheart"

She added, "People are calling me the pop-culture icon, the national sweetheart... The love is coming from everybody. It's little girls, grandmothers, women, men, everybody is just reaching out, and they're saying such affectionate things, which is heartwarming for me."

Shalini Talks about Orry:

When asked if she can overshadow Orry as a viral sensation. To which, she replied, "Well, I think it starts with small things and making conscious efforts. And then over time, you know, you have to inculcate those things little by little and you have to live by them. Whether it's doing meditation or doing things that make you happy."

"Because only if you are happy you can give back to society only if you feel loved then you're only able to give love if you don't feel love for yourself if you don't have self-love you cannot give unconditionally also following your passions being happy with what you have been content with what you have been wanting more having goals — so there's a whole lot of dimension to it, lots of reading, lots of travel, lots of understanding different cultures helps me understand things better every day and every day I learn new things like I said if Orry is a liver I'm a learner," she concluded.

Shalini featured alongside Kalyani Chawla and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni as a part of the Delhi group in the latest season of the Netflix show, which brought back the original Mumbai ‘wives' Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh, Bhavana Pandey and Neelam Kothari. Shalini's eccentricities made her a standout on the show and attracted a lot of attention from her fellow cast members.
