Every year, we had special performances and dances to mark the occasion. The entire school would come alive with vibrant energy as we practiced and performed for everyone. Dressed in traditional attire, we participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony and showcased our dance routines. It was during these moments that I first felt a deep sense of national pride, a feeling that has stayed with me ever since."

Anahita Karanjia expressed her love for patriotic songs and added, "Republic Day as a kid was all about the morning parades, flag hoisting, and singing patriotic songs with friends at school. My favorite memory was the year I got to hoist the school flag as the head girl —it might not feel like such a big deal now, but it was a huge deal for me at least back then. The heat and school uniforms didn't even matter; the whole vibe of everyone singing together and watching the flag go up was something else. Seeing the tricolor waving high gave me chills every time. It was simple, but it always felt special."
