Netizens Slam Poonam Pandey for Wearing Backless for Durga Puja

Poonam Pandey is known for her bold fashion choices. She recently attended Durga Puja in a red lehenga paired with a backless blouse. Her outfit of the day didn't go well with the netizens and have called her out for her revealing dress.

Poonam Pandey Faces Backlash:

Her pictures and videos are going viral from Durga Puja. Bashing her for the outfit choice, a user wrote, "Ek din agar body expose nhi krenge toh m**r thoda jaayegi.. yaha bhi dikhana zaruri hai." Another commented, "It is necessary to show fashion in the temple of good God to people."

About her Death Stunt:

Earlier, she made headlines with a death stunt which later she clarified was for awareness about cervical cancer. On Feb 2, a post was published on the actor's Instagram page announcing her death due to cervical cancer. But later in a video statement that she posted on social media on Saturday, Poonam declared that she is still alive. 

Legal Controversy:

As per the reports in Times of India, a defamation lawsuit to the tune of ₹100 crore has been filed against Poonam and her husband Sam for faking the death stunt.

Here's what the Complainant Said:

The lawsuit has been filed by Faizan Ansari. In the FIR, he alleged the duo trivialized the seriousness of cervical cancer and manipulated the emotions of many. He requested that they both be arrested and produced at a Kanpur court.

"Poonam Pandey and her husband Sameer Bombay have fabricated a false conspiracy of death. Along with this, they have made a joke out of diseases like cancer. Poonam orchestrated the drama for publicity and played with the emotions of millions of Indians and the Bollywood film industry,” reads a part of an FIR.
