In an exciting announcement, popular comedian Mallika Dua took to Instagram to share her upcoming project with Amazon Prime, titled 'Badtameez Dil.' She expressed her enthusiasm for the show and confessed that she had been eagerly waiting to make this announcement.
Filmed in September 2021, the series provided a refreshing experience for Mallika, allowing her to find solace amidst personal hardships. She wrote, "So I'm not very good at self-promotion regarding work. Baaki time faltu bakwaas karwa lo. But but. It is a show I shot in September 2021, a few months after Mama left us as Papa was ailing. We shot this in Belgrade, Serbia, and it was an experience my soul needed to know that my life is more than pain. My sister agreed to leave her work and everything and be with Papaji in Delhi, so I could do this. BADTAMEEZ DIL is almost here!"
Acknowledging the show's creator, Ekta Kapoor, Mallika expressed her gratitude for being seen beyond her comedic persona, and she appreciated the opportunity to portray the character Elina. Furthermore, she highlighted the chemistry between her co-stars, Barun Sobti and Ridhi Dogra, who previously shared the screen in the popular series 'Asur 2.'
"Badtameez Dil" is set to premiere on June 9th, exclusively on Amazon miniTV. The series, set in London, explores a heartwarming romantic drama that revolves around the journey of a girl (Ridhi Dogra) with a belief in old-school romance and a guy (Barun Sobti) who embodies modern-day love. With ten episodes of passionate romance and gripping drama, the show promises a contemporary twist on the age-old concept of 'opposites attract.'
