Kusha Kapila Reveals Why She Had To Give Out Her Divorce News: "We Were Given Two Days..."

Popular fashion influencer Kusha Kapila has recently revealed on a podcast that she had to announce her divorce from Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia earlier than planned. This happened after a media publication got to know the news and gave her a two-day deadline to confirm or deny it.

"We Had to Give that News..."

On the Moment of Silence podcast, Kusha explained, "We had to give that news out because a news publication gave us a deadline that ‘We are giving you two days to either confirm it or deny it, and on the third day, we are going to carry the story'. So, it was important for the news to come out from us."

"They Got an Intel..."

Kusha Kapila shared that despite trying to keep their separation private, the news was likely leaked after someone spotted them in court. She understood that the news outlet was just doing its job with the information it had.  She added, "I hate to have a nuanced look at it, but they were doing their job. They got an intel from somebody who saw us at the court. The idea was to constantly protect the two people involved in the whole thing."

Earlier, she opened up about her trolling post-divorce and the reaction of her family.

"I Didn't Have The Bandwidth For It..."

In an exclusive conversation with Fever FM, she said, "Unkinder to women, that society is anyway so I think that is something my mother had to go through. I completely shut myself to opinions or anything. I didn't have the bandwidth for it. So, I am sure my mother can speak very clearly about it."

Kusha: My Mother Had to Face Opinions...

Talking about her mother's reaction to the divorce, she added, "She had to speak to relatives and speak to society. She has her own life… she goes to the temple or the park, and she has her social communities where she has to face opinions and that is how the world works. This is the reality; this is the truth of where we live and the times we live in. As much progress is happening and we hope for it to happen, some things pretty much remain the same."
