Kashish Kapoor On Her Casting Couch Experience: "I Was Called To A Hotel For A Look Test"

Social media personality Kashish Kapoor has recently opened up about her casting couch experience. She recalled the uncomfortable encounters she faced before making it big in the industry, revealing how she was approached with inappropriate offers.

Kashish shared that she encountered such situations both in Delhi and Mumbai while auditioning for roles. Recalling her experience in Delhi, she mentioned that a well-known casting director for a reputed clothing brand reached out to her. However, his request immediately raised red flags. "He called me to a hotel. He had a portfolio where he had cast for many big brands," she said. The moment she heard "hotel," she grew suspicious. "Do it in your office. I'm not stupid," she thought to herself and decided to cross-question him.

When she asked where the look test would take place, the casting director insisted on meeting in the hotel lobby first. However, as she probed further, he admitted that the actual look test would happen in his hotel room. That was when Kashish knew something was off.

Kashish: "I Am Not Doing That..."

She also recalled an incident with a well-known South Indian casting director, although the situation was different. "He was very upfront. He straight-up told me, ‘If you want to work in this movie, you have to do this,'" Kashish revealed. She firmly refused, saying, “I am not doing that.”

Despite these experiences, Kashish Kapoor stayed strong and never compromised on her principles. Her story sheds light on the dark reality many aspiring actors face while trying to make a name in the entertainment industry.

Previously during her stint on 'Bigg Boss 18', Kashish Kapoor was evicted from the show just two weeks before the grand finale. The sudden elimination came after her argument with Salman Khan, for which she apologized to the actor during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Before exiting, Kashish expressed that she would miss her close friends including Rajat Dalal and Chahat Pandey. She entered the show with Digvijay Rathee, who was also a part of 'Splitsvilla'.
