Mona Lisa ‘Moni' Bhonsle, the young garland seller from Madhya Pradesh's Maheshwar who rose to fame at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, has caught actor Kangana Ranaut's attention. 

The 'Panga' actor expressed disappointment over the harassment Monalisa faces for pictures and questioned the absence of young actors with dusky skin tones in the industry.

Kangana shared a picture of Monalisa on Instagram, commenting on her natural beauty. She wrote, "This young girl Monalisa has become an internet sensation for her natural beauty, as much as I hate people harassing her for pictures and interviews..." She lamented the harassment Monalisa endures and queried, "Do we have dark dusky Indian tone female representation in the glamour world anymore? Are people appreciating young actresses as they did Anu Agarwal, Kajol, Bipasha, Deepika, or Rani Mukerji?"

She further added, "Why do all actresses appear as pale as a white woman, even those who were darker in their younger days? Is it due to excessive use of laser treatments and glutathione injections?"
