Social media influencer Reshma Sebastian who looks like Smriti Singh, the widow of Captain Anshuman Singh has reacted to the hate comments. She mentioned that she has been getting trolled as netizens think she is Smriti.

"This is not Smriti Singh..."

Taking to her Instagram, she has posted a note clarifying she is not Smriti. She wrote, "This is not Smriti Singh's (widow of Indian Army soldier Capt Anshuman Singh) page/ig account. Read the profile details and bio first. Please refrain from spreading false information and hate comments."

For unversed, Smriti Singh's videos have been going viral on social media after she narrated her love story with the late Captain Anshuman Singh.

President Droupadi Murmu conferred the Kirti Chakra, India's second-highest peacetime gallantry award, posthumously to Captain Singh.

In July 2023, a short circuit ignited a fire in an Indian Army ammunition dump at Siachen in the early hours of the morning. Captain Singh, amid the chaos, courageously rescued fellow soldiers trapped in a fiberglass hut. Unfortunately, he sustained severe burns and succumbed to his injuries
