Delhi-NCR Highway Hit-and-Run: Rajat Dalal Faces Public Backlash

Rajat Dalal, a well-known fitness influencer famous for his controversial videos, is back in the spotlight. After being released on bail in June, Dalal is facing trouble again. This time, he is involved in a hit-and-run incident on a highway in the Delhi-NCR.

The incident:

The news came to light when journalist and fact-checker Mohammed Zubair shared a video on X (formerly Twitter). In the video, Rajat Dalal can be seen driving a car on a busy road in Haryana. The video captures the moment when his car allegedly hits a motorcycle. The disturbing part of the video is not only the rash driving but also his reaction of after the crash.

After the collision between the car and the bike, a loud noise was heard. The woman sitting next to him who was calling him “Sir” was obviously worried, “Sir, sir, sir, gir gaya woh, aise mat karo”. (Sir... he has fallen down, please don't do this). However, Dalal casually replied, “Woh gir gaya koi baat nahi” (It's okay that he fell) and added, “Roz ka yahi kam hai ma'am” (This is my daily routine ma'am).

In a similar incident elsewhere, Social Media influencer Rajat Dalal while overspeeding at 140 kms/hr hit a bike rider and didn't even bother to stop. Later says 'wo Gir gaya koi baat nahi, Roz ka yahi kaam hai ma'am'.

Public Outrage:

The video quickly went viral, sparking outrage on social media. Many are demanding stern action against Dalal for his reckless behavior and lack of concern for the accident victim.

Faridabad Deputy Commissioner's Statement:

Reacting to Zubair's statement, the Faridabad deputy commissioner said, “This video has come to the notice of the district administration and Faridabad police. Although no complaint has been made to the police in this matter. But the police administration has taken cognizance of this incident on its own and started action. The investigation is going on. Strict action will be taken against the culprit.”
