Asim Riaz and Abishek Malhan Defend Rubina Dilaik On 'Battleground'

The latest celebrity fitness reality show Battleground has been making the headlines since its premiere. With a star-studded lineup including Asim Riaz, Rajaj Dalal, Abhishek Malhan, and Rubina Dilaik, the show also features cricketer Shikhar Dhawan as the judge.

Rubina Dilaik Lashes Out At The Contestant:

A new video clip from the show is now going viral on social media. The moment in question shows a heated exchange between Rubina and one of the contestants. What really grabbed fans' attention, however, was the way Asim and Abhishek stood up for Rubina during the argument—something many online praised.

In the video, Rubina firmly tells the contestant, “An actor has to be a listener first." The contestant replies, "I feel the same about you as you aren't listening to me as well."

"I Don't Want To Be Disrespected..."

Rubina didn't take the comment lightly and responded, "I don't want to be disrespected. Don't talk to me like that. I'm saying it for your good."

Asim Riaz And Abhishek Malhan Support Rubina:

As the conversation became more intense, Abhishek jumped in to support her. "You've to understand that if a mentor is saying something to you, it's for your good. You can't speak to a mentor like that," he said.

Asim echoed the sentiment, adding, "She isn't an actor right now, she's a mentor and you have to listen to her."

This isn't the only clip from Battleground that's caught social media's attention. In another lighthearted moment, Rubina was seen teasing Abhishek about his relationship status—leaving the rest of the cast in splits.

The exchange starts with a light-hearted conversation where Rubina asks Abhishek if he has found a girlfriend. She says, "He is blushing. We don't know if we will get a winner, but we will surely find someone special for Fukra. I see something special in him."

Streaming on Amazon miniTV via the MX Player app, Battleground brings together four teams coached by Rubina, Abhishek, Asim and Rajaj Dalal. The show features intense physical tasks and weekly battles. One male and one female contestant will be crowned winner at the end of the show.

Talking about Rubina, she is also present in the second season of the comedy-cooking show 'Laughter Chefs'. Along with Rubina, the new season features Samath Jurel, Krushna Abhishek, Elvish Yadav, Abhishek Kumar, Sudesh Lehri, Mannara Chopra, Ankita Lokhande, Rahul Vaidya, Kashmera Shah, Vicky Jain and Abdu Rozik.
