YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani has recently announced that he is stepping down as host of a Valentine's Day screening of 'Marvel's Captain America: Brave New World' in Mumbai. This comes amid legal troubles after Mumbai police charged him, Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and other guests on 'India's Got Latent' for obscenity.
"I Am Not Keeping Well..."
While Ashish did not mention his legal trouble, he stated that he would not be able to host the screening due to ill health. Taking to his Instagram stories, he wrote, "Hello doston, I am not keeping well, so, unfortunately, I won't be able to attend & host the screening of the film 'Captain America: Brave New World' on Valentine's Day. But, don't worry, those who are selected can still go & enjoy the show. I know, I am gonna miss y'all so much! Love you 3000."

About the Controversy:
During his appearance on the episode of Samay's show, 'India's Got Latent', Ranveer Allahbadia asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?" It received severe backlash on social media, after which Ranveer apologized for the comment and shared that he had urged the makers to remove the insensitive bits from the video.
The Maharashtra Cyber Department has filed an FIR over the vulgar remarks made on the show. The police have summoned more than 40 persons, including Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina, asking them to join the probe into a case registered over the former's controversial remarks on the YouTube reality show.
FIR Against the Influencers:
The FIR was registered under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act on Tuesday. The department has also asked the producers of the reality show to take down all its 18 episodes from social media platforms, the official said.
Preliminary probe revealed that many participants used vulgar and obscene language during earlier episodes too, he added.
The Khar police station, in response to a complaint by a local BJP functionary, recorded the statements of four persons, including social media influencer Apoorva Makhija as well as Allahbadia's manager in connection with the controversy.
