Abhi & Niyu: Exclusive Goodwill Ambassadors for Special Olympics Bharat

Abhiraj and Niyati, known as Abhi & Niyu in the digital world, have been selected as Exclusive Goodwill Ambassadors in the Influencers category for Special Olympics Bharat. Their role is to motivate and cheer on the Indian contingent of special athletes participating in the Special Olympics World Summer Games held in Berlin, Germany, from June 17 to June 25, 2023.

Dedicated to Making a Difference

The duo is ecstatic to extend their support to the participants and be part of an event that unites the world through the power of sports. Abhi and Niyu have always been dedicated to helping others, as seen during the devastating second wave of COVID-19, where they actively connected plasma donors and assisted in securing hospital beds and other essentials for those in need. They even created a compelling video encouraging people to contribute their used masks and PPE kits to support the cause.

The Special Olympics Summer Games: Promoting Inclusivity and Empowerment

The Special Olympics Summer Games will welcome over 7,000 athletes and Unified partners from 190 countries, competing in 26 sports disciplines. With the support of more than 3,000 coaches and 20,000 volunteers, the event aims to promote inclusivity and empower individuals with special needs. Special Olympics Bharat is sending a contingent of 198 Special Athletes and partners, accompanied by 57 Coaches from India, who will participate across 16 sports.

Expressing their gratitude, Abhi and Niyu said, "Being in the company of special athletes who will make the country proud is an incredible privilege! We look forward to learning their stories, cheering them on, and being part of this marvellous journey. Our goal is to create awareness about the Special Olympics and celebrate inclusivity through sports. We urge more people to support and encourage our special stars representing India at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Berlin."
