- Snehil: Mental health is very important
BC Aunty aka Snehil Mehra, known for her captivating and hilarious content speaks to me about the importance of Mental Health. In an exclusive conversation, she spills the beans of what is her happiness mantra. She also suggests a few initiatives that one should inculcate in their lifestyle for good Mental Health
She said, “Mental health is very important. Just like when our body is tired and our body needs rest. Similarly, our brain, when it's overworked and we're thinking too many things, we need to give it rest. And that is why I suggest one day a week, which should be definitely for our mental health only, to do the things that we enjoyed doing as a child. It could be the childhood hobbies like painting, singing, and dancing, and all the answers to our mental health lie in our childhood. So whatever food you enjoy, you should treat yourself to those things and take it easy, is my mantra."
Earlier, she shared her strategy for maintaining an online positive presence in between social media scrutiny. Addressing the same, she mentioned, "Negative criticism and trolling are an inevitable part of being in the public eye, and it was my conscious decision to put myself on the digital platform and be exposed to the public eye. While there will always be individuals who may not appreciate my work or content, I understand that it is natural to have differing opinions. Though I sometimes feel bothered by mean comments and abuses, I am immensely grateful for the overwhelming support and love I receive from the vast majority of people who enjoy my content. I value feedback greatly, and if there are constructive criticisms, I take them seriously."
She added, "In instances where I have received feedback pointing out posts that were deemed unfunny, offensive, or hurtful to others, I have taken them down those posts. I have no shame in accepting that sometimes content creators get confused about delivering the content the viewers like to watch or expect, and if there is feedback, one must apply it to their channel and move forward."
We must say we are always in awe of the content that BC Aunty shares, so keep creating.
