Read the edited excerpts below:

Can you tell us about your journey into the acting industry and how you got started as a digital creator? What motivated you to pursue both paths?

I began my journey as a child artist in the Tamil Film industry and started from scratch in Mumbai six years ago. I actively searched for auditions and opportunities to kickstart my acting career. However, during the lockdown, I discovered the immense potential of the internet for earning money and survival. In 2023, both acting and content creation seamlessly merged for me. It seems like everyone is exploring various avenues, and I am no exception. Most importantly, I am pursuing both paths with equal enthusiasm.

How do you manage to balance your acting career with your role as a digital creator? Are there any specific strategies or approaches you follow to ensure you give equal attention to both?

Honestly, content creation is something I enjoy, so I don't stress much about it. I don't feel pressured by views, likes, comments, or followers. I simply share what comes from my heart, and it's extremely organic. Therefore, I don't follow any specific strategies, except for the need to maintain consistency in creating content. Since I genuinely enjoy it, there's no pressure. Acting, on the other hand, is my first love, and I put my heart and soul into every project I take on. Once again, I thoroughly enjoy the acting process.

What role or project in your acting career has had the biggest impact on you personally and professionally? How did it shape your growth as an actress?

The role of Rupali in the web series "Scoop" has had the most significant impact on me both personally and professionally. It provided me with an opportunity to showcase my versatility as an actress. While I have portrayed various characters in different web shows, Rupali stands out as a distinct and challenging role. Personally, playing this character has boosted my confidence, and I am eagerly awaiting to see how it will shape my professional journey. Being a part of such a massive show with esteemed creators has instilled a tremendous sense of self-assurance in me.

As a digital creator, what topics or themes do you enjoy exploring through your content? How do you come up with ideas for your digital creations?

I enjoy exploring relatable comedy and witty content that resonates with people. There are so many talented creators out there with incredible content that inspires me. Typically, I create reels based on relatable comedy, drawing from my own day-to-day experiences. I try to stay mindful and observant, which helps me come up with ideas for my digital creations.

Could you share a memorable experience or interaction you've had with your fans through your digital platforms? How has engaging with your audience influenced your creative process?

I have hyperhidrosis, and when I made a reel about it, it garnered around 11 million views. The comments on that reel made me realize that I'm not alone in dealing with this condition, and many people could relate to it. I took the time to interact with the majority of those who commented, and many of them also reached out to me through direct messages to share their own experiences with hyperhidrosis. It's strangely comforting to feel that you're not alone, and these shared experiences are truly priceless.

"Scoop" is your first project on Netflix. How was your experience working on this series?

It was nothing short of a masterclass for me. I had the privilege of working alongside some of the finest actors from NSD, FTII, and an exceptional crew led by Hansal Mehta and his team. Every day on set was a valuable learning experience. I feel grateful that Mukesh Chhabra, one of India's top casting directors, believed I was suitable for the character and gave me the opportunity to audition for it.

How has digital content creation influenced your acting approach? Do you find that your work as a digital creator has influenced your performances or character portrayals in any way?

Honestly, no. Acting is completely different from content creation on Instagram. Content creation has certainly helped me become instantly creative and relatable. However, the process of acting on set is a different ballgame altogether. While all actors can become content creators, not all content creators can be actors.

Can you shed some light on your creative process as an actress? How do you prepare for your roles and get into the mindset of your characters?

I'm a director's actor. Once the director communicates their vision, I mold myself like clay to embody the character. Having faced the camera since childhood and worked with multiple directors, understanding the director's vision has become a smoother ride for me. However, as I grow older and gain more life experiences, my approach to each character becomes different. Most of the time, I stick to the script as my guiding Bible.

Are there any particular challenges you face as an actress in the entertainment industry? How do you overcome these challenges and stay motivated?

As an outsider, I experience rejections on a regular basis. Auditions are the primary pathway for entering this vast industry, and not every audition can be successful. It's not a reflection of talent but can be influenced by various factors. This industry requires immense patience, time, and self-motivation on a daily basis, which can be quite challenging. I do go through difficult phases, but I believe in carrying on no matter what. I pick myself up and continue moving forward. I hope to maintain this determination in the future.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital content creation, what trends or developments do you find most exciting? How do you keep yourself updated and adapt to these changes?

I do keep myself updated. Instead of simply following trends, I am interested in understanding the creators behind them and the reasons for their popularity. It's a fun process for me. I don't let it get to my head or take it too seriously.

What advice would you give to aspiring actors who are also interested in pursuing a career as digital creators? How can they find a balance between the two roles?

Acting and content creation are two distinct paths. To excel in acting, watch plays, movies, and shows to draw inspiration. Work on your craft and make sure to experience life as it adds depth to your performances. As for content creation, authenticity is key. Find your niche and strive for consistency in delivering content. Consistency really helps!

Looking ahead, what are your future aspirations and goals in both your acting career and your digital content creation? Are there any dream projects or collaborations you would love to be a part of?

I want to again get back to doing Tamil projects. I miss that. A few projects are in my kitty which I can't talk about, but with content creation, you will definitely see more creative content from me.

Growing up in a Bengali household, how has your cultural background influenced your career choices and the types of roles you take on as an actress?

As a Bengali who grew up in Chennai, I was exposed to two different cultures from a young age. Being in Chennai, I got the opportunity to work in Tamil cinema. I hope and pray that I receive opportunities from both the southern and northern parts of our country.
