Everything about Sai exudes brilliance, from her viral reels to her mesmerizing accents, soulful singing, and captivating dance moves.

In this exclusive interview, Sai offers a glimpse into her extraordinary journey, reveals the secrets behind her enthralling content, and much more!

Can you take us back to when your first viral reel, '10 accents and impressions in 60 seconds,' took the internet by storm? How did you come up with the idea, and how did it feel to see such a positive response from viewers?

That's a lovely question! So let me take you back to when I realized I could do different accents. My parents love to travel, so I have seen a huge part of the world. During our trip to Australia, I spoke with the locals in their accents, and they took me as their own. That's when I realized this talent was authentic, and my parents encouraged me to pursue it because they saw the locals' reactions to my accent. Cut to a few years later, in November 2022 (last year). My friend asked me to share it on social media and to do multiple accents in one video because she thought it would be fun to watch. To my surprise, it received a lot of love and was quite overwhelming, so much so that I'm still processing it.

Your musical creativity is exceptional, as seen in your viral reels like 'Tere Hawale' and the Taylor Swift mashup. How do you approach combining songs and showcasing your vocal talent in such a unique way?

Thank you! I love music and cinema; these two things are my whole life and the roots of my passion towards art and life. And so when Instagram presented itself to me as a platform where I'd get to showcase my skills, I wanted to put them out there in my way creatively. And so the brainstorming happened, and the ideas came to me.

Your acting skills shone in Anuv Jain's music video 'Mazaak.' How was the experience of being the lead in the video, and how do you balance your passion for acting and singing?

It was quite a surreal experience. I was already a huge Anuv Jain fan, so much so that I listened to 'Alag Aasmaan' the night before I got a call to be in the music video. And initially, I didn't believe it, but the lovely director of the video, Vasudha, and the wonderful AD, Isha, sent me the song, and the minute I heard it, I was on board. Also, as I've mentioned before, acting and singing are everything to me, but there's a way I like to present them: aesthetically, creatively, and in a modest fashion. The idea of that song and that music video spoke to me—the innocence, the respect, and the calmness of modern love, and the way that video captured it was necessary.

Acting and singing are so intertwined in my life that, at this point, I don't balance them or treat them separately; I'm just constantly pursuing both. And I'm so grateful I get to do that every day—big credit to my wonderful parents for always encouraging me.

Graduating from Whistling Woods and receiving the Valedictorian of the Year title is remarkable. Can you tell us more about your journey at the institute and how it has shaped your career in the entertainment industry?

I love Whistling Woods Institute as an institute and as an experience. It was such a constructive learning ground for me, especially as a fresh out of junior college aspiring artist, and it really moulded me and made me aware of my personal growth as an artist, with constant positive guidance and just a playing field where you could make mistakes. I'm extremely grateful to our entire faculty, the higher authority who run the college, and my lovely batchmates, because they made me realize my passion at a higher intensity.

Being a valedictorian was one of those 'best moments' of my life that I'll always cherish.

Collaborating with well-known brands indicates that your talent has been recognized in the industry. How did these opportunities come about, and how do you choose projects that align with your artistic vision?

I have to give the credit for collaborating with brands to my management agency, Monk Entertainment, and my lovely manager Chaitral, who have worked towards making that possible and so smoothly.

I was given space to discuss my vision and my ideas, and they were always appreciated. That feeling of being seen, heard, and appreciated by the people responsible for promoting your work to brands in the industry is quite special.

Your mother, Kishori Godbole, is a renowned Marathi actor. How has her legacy influenced and inspired your own artistic pursuits?

She's my number 1 inspiration. Her abilities as an artist are extraordinary; moreover, how she has presented herself and worked with so much passion and dignity is exemplary. So I'm really glad I have someone so lovely to look up to at home. And to my good fortune, we get to share things and experiences and work out the solutions because she always knows what I'm talking about.

Your content not only entertains but also inspires creativity and self-expression. How important is it for you to be an influencer who positively impacts your growing fan base?

Thank you for saying that. It is the most important thing, and that is why I want to do it.

I want to try and make the internet a kinder and more positive place to be with how I create, communicate, and interact on the platform. And I'm so glad I'm seeing more positive, encouraging, and kind comments everywhere.

With a significant following on social media, how do you handle both the love and attention from your fans and any criticism or negativity that may come your way?

I started my journey officially as a creator on Instagram in Jan 2023, after the video that received so much love in December 2022. In that short period, the amount of love and encouragement I've received is something that I will always be grateful for. Quite honestly, I'm still processing it, and the reactions deeply move me. And the handling part is all thanks to my wonderful family, that keeps me grounded and motivated.

To my good fortune, I've received kind words of appreciation for the content I make, and just once in a while, there might be a certain stranger on the internet who isn't ready to receive a video with the same love it was made with. To that, I delete whatever they have to say. And I'm pretty grateful for the power of the delete button. It's quite the guardian of mental health on social media.

As your popularity continues to grow, what are your aspirations and goals for your career in the entertainment industry?

I'm an actor and a singer, and I aspire to excel in those fields. To put it into words, I want to do lead roles in films that tell great stories, make my music, sing playback for myself and emerge out the other side as the best possible version of myself, with kindness in my heart and peace of mind.

What advice would you give aspiring artists wishing to pursue a career in singing, acting, and creating digital content?

Post it, record it, shoot it, write it NOW, don't overthink it. If you make it with love, it will be received with love. All you need to do is have fun with it. The moment you feel like you aren't having fun, take a break and then go on again. And most importantly, surround yourself with people and a team that wants to see you win.

Apart from your talents in singing, acting, and creating content, are there any other artistic skills or interests you plan to explore?

I love dancing, and I've explored it less, so I'll do that. I'm a sports enthusiast; I've been into team sports and athletics, and after grade 10, I never paid any attention to that part of life, and I want to get back to that too. A little fun fact about me is that I'm a really good cricket player, haha.

How do you maintain a balance between your personal life and your career in the fast-paced world of digital media?

It gets tough at times because life feels like it's going faster than you are, and that's when you have to take a break for yourself, meet people who increase your positive vibrations, take trips and see the world, or just sit in your house, cook something for yourself, and put on a comfort TV show. Everyone has different ideas of comfort, and we need to give them time too.

Can you share a memorable fan interaction or experience that has touched you deeply?

Every single person who has come up to me recognized my skills, has made my day. I cannot tell you how grateful I am, but I am deeply moved by it.

Parents of little kids come up to me and tell me how they want their kids to learn music and accents like I have, and that's so special to me.

As a multifaceted artist, what do you think is your biggest strength, and how do you continue to hone your skills in all your creative pursuits?

I've been lucky enough to be blessed with gurus and teachers who have shaped me and helped me hone my skills. My music teachers and my college acting faculty, to whom I'm very thankful. And as far as I'm concerned, practice is key. I, too, get lazy sometimes, but the drive to constantly do better takes over, and I get back to practising.

What can your fans look forward to from you in the coming months? Any upcoming projects or exciting collaborations you can share with us?

Super exciting projects are coming out real soon!! This is all I can reveal now, but I'm so excited about everything in store, and I cannot wait to see my lovely audience react to that.
