Our moms and grandmothers have always talked about Ubtans and homemade face masks when it comes to treating or brightening skin. We also very much prefer home remedies when it comes to beauty treatments and immediate skin fixes. To support that Dr Vibhuti Prakash Dhaundiyal who is an Aesthetic physician and a Skincare advisor has come up with home remedies suggestions along with skin concerns that can be used and which ones to avoid.
What to Use VS What Not to Use
Dr Vibhuti has shared home remedies suggestions for bright skin, acne treatment, and dark circle treatment. Check out which ones to opt for and which ones to skip to see effective results on your skin
For Skin Brightening
- Papaya is packed with enzymes and vitamins that help gently exfoliate and brighten the skin without causing any skin barrier damage, Hence can be used.
- Lemons are acidic in nature and may irritate or cause burns when exposed to sunlight post-application leading to long-term damage, Hence should be avoided.
For Acne Treatment
- Tea Tree Oil possesses antibacterial properties that help fight acne-causing bacteria and acne reduction. Hence, can be used.
- Toothpaste contains chemicals that can be harsh on the skin and may worsen acne. She suggests to avoid it.
For Dark Circle Treatment
- Cucumber has soothing properties and so cucumber slices can be used to reduce puffiness and instantly refresh tired eyes. Hence, can be used.
- Potatoes have natural bleaching properties that can help in reducing dark circles but at the same time, they can cause irritation and cause redness to sensitive skin around the eyes. Hence, should be avoided.
Dr Vibhuti says - "Remember, natural remedies can be effective, but always patch-test first and consult a dermatologist for serious skin concerns!".
