Sameeksha Takke, a popular content creator has connected with whosthat360 for an exclusive conversation. In this chit-chat, she has shared her divine experience of Ganpati festivities with us.

Here are a few edited excerpts from this conversation;

What makes this Ganpati celebration particularly special for you?

I live in a secular family, but my family is very huge. During Ganpati, we ensure that all the family comes together and celebrates this festival as one! I think that is something I truly adore about Ganpati.

Can you share a cherished childhood memory with this festival that still makes you smile?

So, in Maharashtra tradition, we have to make valachi bhaji as prasad bhog. All of my siblings used to sit together, and my mother and my aunt used to tell us to peel off the vaal beans. Yes, it was frustrating but we made it look very funny and competitive. I mean, who finishes first used to get a treat.

How has your connection with Ganpati evolved over the years, and what significance does it hold in your life today?

This particular question is very close to my heart. I think coming from a Maharashtrian family. Our father has taught us all the arties and the best part about the Aarti was whenever I feel that I am not keeping well in my day-to-day life. I just go through those Aarti I enchanted those Aarti and I feel very positive, and I think I will do that for the rest of my life to feel very positive.

What is your favorite aspect of the Ganpati festival, and how do you like to celebrate it?

First of all, we make it very sure that we get an eco-friendly Ganpati murti. We conduct bhajans on the fifth or the sixth day. Where we call every person from our society and the whole vibe is amazing. I think this is what we have been following since I think 25 to 26 years now.

Are there any family traditions or rituals that you follow during Ganpati, and what's the story behind them?

There is no such particular family tradition that we follow, but then we make sure that nobody misses Ganesh Chaturthi.
