In an exclusive conversation with Jayveer Singh, Vibhuti Arora has opened up about her face yoga journey. She has also given a sneak peek into her morning routine.
Here are a few edited excerpts from this delightful conversation;
We have seen different theories of Face Yoga in the market. What is Face Yoga according to you?
I take great pride in promoting face yoga, which has become a well-known concept today. For those who may not be familiar, face yoga is a practice that exercises the 57+ muscles of the face, from the forehead to the chin, to improve lymphatic drainage, blood circulation, and overall facelifting and tightening. It also helps to resolve various skin issues and promotes anti-aging.
In addition to its physical benefits, face yoga also helps to connect with the body's internal issues by touching on various marma points or acupressure points on the face. This allows individuals to become more aware of their body's internal state and start healing faster.
While some people may view face yoga as solely a beauty practice, I believe it goes beyond that. I don't just use it as a gimmick to attract clients who want to look beautiful or reduce dark circles, pimples, or pigmentation. Instead, I connect beauty to inner wellness, making it a holistic beauty and wellness initiative.
What is the USP of your house of beauty products?
At my House of Beauty, we focus on providing holistic, clean products that work on the principles of face yoga and efficacy. Our product line was launched with the understanding that face yoga requires specific products, such as oils, serums, and creams, that can be used in conjunction with the practice. We use Ayurvedic products that are designed to provide long-term, result-oriented benefits, rather than just quick fixes.
For example, if someone has gastric issues or hormonal imbalances, our products can help them address those underlying issues while also improving their skin. By taking a holistic approach to beauty and wellness, we empower individuals to take control of their overall health and well-being, rather than just focusing on external beauty.
I'm proud to say that our products have been well-received, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my passion for face yoga and holistic wellness with others.
I'd be happy to share my morning routine, which is infused with yoga and Ayurveda. When I wake up in the morning, I start by washing my face with a gentle face wash. I believe that it's essential to cleanse the skin first thing in the morning, regardless of your skin type. Whether you have dry, oily, or combination skin, washing your face helps to remove any impurities that may have accumulated overnight.
What does your morning routine look like?
After washing my face, I apply a specific oil that is suitable for my skin type. I always emphasize the importance of using the right products for your skin type, as it can make a significant difference in the overall health and appearance of your skin. I then massage the oil into my face using a technique called "vibhuti massage," which involves dividing the face into five specific zones. This helps to lift and de-puff the face, while also promoting lymphatic drainage and blood circulation.
As I massage my face, I also focus on awakening my senses and preparing my body for the day ahead. I believe that taking a few minutes each morning to connect with your body and mind can have a profound impact on your overall well-being.
After my morning massage, I spray a toner on my face to help balance my skin's pH levels. I then apply a serum and eye cream to provide an extra layer of nourishment and protection to my skin. I'm particularly proud of our bright skin serum, which is the only product globally that has been able to stabilize four key ingredients, including hyaluronic acid.
Throughout my morning routine, I also make sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. I believe that drinking water is essential for maintaining healthy, glowing skin, and I always recommend that my clients drink at least eight glasses of water a day.
In addition to my skincare routine, I also prioritize my overall wellness by incorporating yoga and Ayurvedic practices into my daily routine. I believe that taking care of one's physical, mental, and emotional health is essential for achieving true beauty and wellness.
Overall, my morning routine is designed to promote a sense of balance and harmony in my body and mind. By taking a few minutes each morning to connect with my body and prioritize my skincare, I feel more energized, focused, and prepared to take on the day ahead.
