Exclusive! I Have The Wildest Dream To Write Dialogues For Shah Rukh Khan: Nidhi Narwal

Nidhi Narwal is a popular content creator. She came into the limelight when an IAS officer tweeted a highly relatable story 'We middle class' by her. It will be no exaggeration to say that she is the queen of words and spill poetry. In an exclusive conversation with whosthat360, she opened up about her journey, passion, and aspirations in the field.

Here are a few edited excerpts from the fun-filled chat with her,

What inspired you to start your content creation journey?

I was not passionate about writing poetry, my father was in the army so he used to bring those fascinating diaries which he used to give me that was the time when I was in love with beautiful stationeries so I started writing song lyrics and quotes in diaries for the sake of using them since then I got a habit of writing a journal every day and even I didn't even realize exactly when it changed into a poetry form.

Did you always have a passion for entertaining and connecting with the audience?

I had a passion for this but rather I used to write poems to release my emotions be it a coincidence some so many people find it relatable and connect with me.

When you started creating content how did your close ones react, did they support you?

A fun fact was that my family did not know for a year that I performed anywhere. After I completed 12th, I completed my bachelor's from DU in life science still I was looking for an escape that was the time when I started doing open mic's and I thought my family would call me back from Delhi if they would come to know about it but surprisingly they supported me once they came to know and they were very proud.

Are there any influencers in this particular niche who you consider as strong competitors or individuals you admire within the industry?

See I admire a lot of people. People keep asking me “who's my favourite writer?”
Well, I don't have any favourite writer as such but I do have favourite poem and also, there is no competition for me as I don't take poetry as a competition and I think if I become competitive then I will lose my authentic art of poetry.

You have a thing for prose and poetry which piece is your favourite?

I would say 'Andhera' is my current favourite and it has been my favourite since I wrote it and it's very close to my heart. As in my life darkness has played a positive role.

How do you handle criticism and negative feedback from your audience?

Touchwood I have an audience who supports me. I don't know why but I don't get hatred. My audience is so good that even if I post anything other than poetry, they are always ready to accept.

Do you have any strategies for maintaining a positive mindset in the face of online scrutiny?

Of course, sometimes when you get negative feedback and everything that time you don't feel like using Instagram and to delete the account only. I don't think there is any specific way to deal with it but give it some time and everything will be fine.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to become an influencer?

I would say please don't ever get scared to lose there's a high chance that you will.

What's next for Nidhi? Can we expect her to write dialogue for films?

I have the wildest dream to write dialogues for Shahrukh Khan but of course, there is a long way to go. I am definitely learning story writing going forward want to learn script writing as well.
