As an influencer marketing expert, he seamlessly merges creativity into his lifestyle.

In an exclusive interview, Ayush Chudiwala discusses his journey and his evolution from a novice to a seasoned content creator.

How did you start as a lifestyle blogger, and what inspired you to pursue this career?

I started creating content in 2015 when the whole social media game was fairly new. I was very inclined towards travelling, exploring new cuisines and restaurants, and talking about my daily experiences in general on social media. I chose this as a passion project purely for my love for travel and food, and what inspired me was the response I got on social media from my followers. Thousands of people would reach out to me asking for recommendations and custom travel plans. It motivated me, and I'd look forward to posting more often. The fact that people felt I was adding value to them inspired me to create content regularly and put more thought into it each time.

What are some of your favourite topics to write about on your blog, and why?

I love writing about travel and food because, on a personal level, I live for it. I have travelled to most parts of the country and lived like a local for weeks to indulge in the authentic life of that particular culture. Every trip has allowed me to try out food I have never heard of, and it has been an ecstatic experience for me. I've always shared my journey on social media on a real-time basis for followers to see and live the moment with me. The response has been nothing but incredible from the people watching my content, and I kept doing it because I could bring authentic cultures and good food to the limelight through my page.

How do you balance your personal life with your career, and what are your tips for staying organized and productive?

For me, I never had to work on striking a balance because I love what I do. I love creating content, shooting videos, travelling, and trying different cuisines. So for me, the balance is actually living the life I am living right now. Professionally, I am an influencer marketing expert, which again ties back to content and creativity, helping me live my life the way I like it. My tip for people to be productive is to do what they enjoy, and they never have to put in that extra effort. It will come easy to them, and they will enjoy the process.

How do you stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the industry, and where do you look for inspiration?

Professionally, I am an influencer marketing expert, which gives me access to a massive pool of brands and influencers. I spend a lot of time brainstorming and analyzing social media content not just from India but internationally, and this helps me understand how the market is moving and what could be an upcoming trend. I usually seek inspiration from international creators or trendsetter brands with strong social media strategies. I also follow a lot of publications that talk about trends and what's viral. This gives me an early insight into what could blow up soon on social media.

What advice do you have for aspiring lifestyle bloggers who are just starting, and what common mistakes should new bloggers avoid?

My only advice to the upcoming creators is to find their niche of content creation, keeping in mind their expertise and how they could add value to people. If you can add value and impart knowledge to people on social media, your content will trend, and your clout will automatically expand.

As a beginner, I would often overthink before posting. Thoughts like "What will people think?" and "Will they like my next post?" used to scare me, causing me to skip uploading half of the content I created. However, I've overcome that now. I conduct thorough research and confidently post my content. If it benefits just 25% of my followers, I see it as a success and don't let it demotivate me. When a broader audience perceives value, they engage with my content and follow me.

How do you handle negative comments or criticism on your blog or social media, and what steps do you take to protect your mental health and well-being?

If the negative comment provides constructive feedback, I take it positively and work on it. However, if it's random hate, I ignore it. It bothered me during my initial years of blogging, but I realized that by sharing my life on social media, I enable various opinions to form, and I can't alter their thoughts or spread hate. The most effective approach is to disregard it. If something too harsh bothers me now, I go back to reading all the beautiful and kind messages I get from my social media family and just thank god for them.
