  • Is the fruit of patience just a myth?

Many people may have heard this saying from their elders in childhood "the fruit of patience is sweet." Comedy content creator Monica Sharma recently shared a funny reel on this topic. She mentioned how she, too, has been hearing this saying since childhood. But, she still has not received this so-called “fruit of patience” in her life.

Since she was a kid, Monica believed that patience would bring sweet rewards, but now she feels that this fruit has gone extinct, probably along with the dinosaurs. Sometimes, she even wonders if someone juiced the fruit of her patience and drank it without her knowing!

The Bansari Shop Incident

Monica once went to a shop and asked for the fruit of patience. Instead of giving her the fruit, the shopkeeper abused her and sent her away.

Why Me? Why Patience?

Now, whenever someone tells her to be patient, Monica has a perfect reply: “Why should I show patience? You show patience! Your whole family shows patience, why me?” She's so fed up with patience that she doesn't even want a sweet fruit anymore. Any fruit will do, even if it's dull, soggy, or tasteless.

God's Secret Fruit Tree

At this point, Monica believes that God planted her fruit of patience on some hidden tree, far away, where it will never ripen. Half her life has passed waiting for it, and now she's convinced it'll only show up when she's no longer around.

Patience Chaat on the Tehrvi

Monica imagines that on her tehrvi (the 13th day after death), they'll serve chaat made from the fruit of her patience, and people will still complain, “this isn't sweet at all!”

So, have you found the fruit of your patience yet, or are you also stuck in the same situation as Monica Sharma?
