Ingredients Needed for Protein Theplas
- 25g Soya Chunks
- 1/2 Cup Peas
- Handful of Methi
- Masalas - Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Aamchur, Pepper, Pinch of Haldi
- 2 tbsp onion
- 2 green chillies chopped
- 2-3 cloves of garlic crushed
- 1 small cup wheat flour
- 2 tbsp kalaunji and sesame seeds
- 1 tsp ghee
- 90 grams of Greek yogurt
Easy Preparation Steps
Boil soya chunks and then blend them along with peas, methi, onion, garlic, chilies, and spices into a smooth paste. Next, combine this paste with wheat flour and ghee to form perfect dough consistency. Vanshika advises to use additional water only if required as the paste is already moist. Refrigerate the dough for about 10 minutes.
Perfecting the Theplas
To ensure theplas don't stick, Vanshika recommends lightly oiling your rolling board and pin, then dusting the dough with flour. Roll out mini-sized theplas, sprinkling a flavorful blend of kalaunji and sesame seeds for garnish. Cook each thepla evenly on a hot tava, adding a hint of ghee on both sides until golden brown.
