Are you bored with your usual breakfast? Dahi Upma is a creative variation of conventional upma that is both nutritious and delicious! Sumit and Priyanka Kapoor recently shared this simple recipe, which is ideal for a light but satisfying supper. This meal made with rava (suji) and curd, is both delicious and nutritious.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rava (suji)
  • 1½ cups curd
  • 4 cups water
  • Handful of chopped coriander
  • 2 chopped green chilies
  • 1 tbsp ginger, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp mustard seeds
  • A pinch of hing
  • 1 tbsp chana dal
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp chopped cashews
  • 2 tbsp desi ghee
  • 1 medium onion, chopped

How to Make Dahi Upma:

  • Take a bowl. Mix curd, green chilies, coriander, ginger, salt, and water. Whisk well and keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee in a deep pan. Add mustard seeds, hing, and curry leaves. Saute for 30 seconds.
  • Add chana dal and cashews. Saute for 1 minute.
  • Add chopped onions and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add rava (suji) and roast in it till it turns a little golden brown for 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour the curd-water mixture into the pan and mix well. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve hot.

This Dahi Upma is good as it is light and can be digested easily. It is an excellent breakfast when you want something new yet nutritious. Try this recipe and give your mornings a fresh start!
