Paneer Stuffed Sabudana Vada

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Dry sabudana
  • 2 medium size boiled potatoes ( around 1 cup boiled and mashed)
  • 1-2 green chillies ( adjust taste accordingly)
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • Salt /Sendha namak for fasting
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala (MDH)
  • Handful chopped cilantro
  • 3/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1-2 tbsp rice flour ( kuttu /buckwheat flour for fasting )
  • Oil for greasing the apple pan

For stuffing:

  • Use fresh paneer and Mix it with green chilies, cilantro, black salt /sendha namak, and cumin seeds.

Instructions:

  • Wash sabudana multiple times and soak it overnight.
  • Grind half of the roasted peanuts into powder.
  • In the morning, strain the excess water.
  • Add mashed boiled potatoes, flour, salt, ginger, cilantro leaves, cumin seeds, green chilies, garam Masala, and peanut powder.
  • Mix it well and make equal-sized balls. 
  • Make balls out of it and roll it flat with your hands.
  • Insert the stuffing and carefully close it to make a round ball press it to make it like tikki.
  • Use a pan to make these Vada. You can make it on any pan or even bake it.
  • Brush oil into appe pan and Place the Vada on a heated pan. 
  • Cook it on low to medium flame until it turns crispy. 
  • Cook on both sides and when you turn appe down, brush a little more oil for a crispy texture.
  • Brush oil on appe 3 times for a crispy texture.
  • Enjoy with your favorite chutney.
