Black Pepper Paneer Recipe

Ingredients-

  • Paneer 200gm
  • Yogurt/Hung Curd 100gm
  • Cashews 8-9
  • Onion 1 medium
  • Garlic 3-4 juliennes
  • Ginger 2 inch
  • Green chilli 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Roasted Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Kasuri methi 1 tbsp
  • A pinch of cardamom/elaichi powder
  • Desi ghee/ oil 1-2 tbsp

Step-By-Step To Make Black Pepper Paneer

  • Prepare Marinade: Mix yogurt/hung curd with black pepper, cumin powder, and salt. Add paneer cubes and coat gently.
  • Boil Ingredients: In a saucepan, boil 1 cup water. Add roughly chopped onions, ginger, garlic, green chilli, and cashews.
  • Blend Paste: Boil for 3-4 mins, strain, and blend with 2-3 tbsp of boiled water to form a smooth paste.
  • Cook Onion Paste: Heat 1 tbsp oil or ghee in a kadhai, add the onion paste, and sauté for 5-6 mins until cooked.
  • Add Paneer: Add the marinated paneer along with ¼ cup of reserved boiled water. Cover and cook for 3-4 mins.
  • Season & Serve: Adjust salt, sprinkle kasuri methi and elaichi powder, mix well, and serve hot with rice or quinoa.
