Are you looking for a delicious and nutritious sandwich that doesn't need bread? Food influencer Harshita Choudhary has shared a simple and delicious protein sandwich recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Sooji/ Semolina (300gm)
  • 1 cup Dahi/ Curd (150ml)
  • 2 cups Water (approx)
  • Veggies (1 cup each)
  • Capsicum (Shimla mirch)
  • Onion (Pyaz)
  • Carrot (Gaajar)
  • Sweet Corn
  • Tomato (Tamatar)
  • 1 Green Chilli (Hari Mirch)
  • Spices (1 tsp each)
  • Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • Red chilli powder (Lal mirch powder)
  • Black pepper powder (Kali mirch powder)
  • Chaat masala
  • Chilli flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves (Hara dhaniya)
  • 1 packet ENO fruit salt (or soda)
  • Butter for greasing
  • Paneer (Cottage cheese)
  • Green Chutney (Blend together coriander, green chilli, ginger, roasted chana, curd, cumin seeds, salt, and ice cubes)

How to Make It:

Prepare the Batter:

Take 2 cups of semolina, 1 cup of curd, and gradually add about 2 cups of water. Stir well to make a lump-free batter. Let it rest for 15 minutes.

Add Veggies and Spices:

Add your favorite veggies (capsicum, onion, carrot, corn, tomato). Mix in cumin seeds, red chilli powder, black pepper, chaat masala, chilli flakes, salt, and coriander leaves.

Add ENO:

Just before cooking, add a packet of ENO fruit salt (or soda) for fluffiness.

Cook in Sandwich Maker:

Grease the sandwich maker with butter. Pour half of the batter into a sandwich mold. Add a large piece of paneer, some green chutney, and the remaining batter.

Cook until Crispy:

Cook the sandwich on all sides over a low heat until crispy and golden. Serve hot.
