Ingredients for the Masala:

  • 1 boiled potato
  • 100 g paneer
  • 1 tbsp curd
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tsp kasuri methi
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp amchoor powder
  • 2 tsp mustard oil
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves

Instructions to Prepare Smashed Crispy Roti Tacos:

Prepare the Masala: In a bowl, mix the boiled potato, paneer, curd, cumin powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, kasuri methi, lime juice, salt, pepper, amchoor powder, mustard oil, and coriander leaves.

Cook the Roti: Take leftover or undercooked roti and cook it on a tawa with a little oil. Make sure one side is cooked more than the other.

Assemble the Taco: On the side of the roti that is cooked more, spread the prepared masala evenly.

Smash and Cook: Invert the roti and gently smash it down with a spatula. Cook until it browns and becomes crispy on the underside.

Final Touch: Flip the roti and cook the other side until it is crispy as well.

Serve: Cut the crispy roti taco into wedges and serve with chopped onions, coriander leaves, green chutney, and sriracha sauce for an extra kick.
