Ingredients:
- 2 big ripe mangoes
- 2 tablespoons crushed candy sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon black salt
- 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
- Juice of 1 lemon (adjust depending on the sweetness and sourness of the mango)
- A mix of seeds (Nidhi uses pumpkin seeds, roasted flax seeds, sunflower seeds)
Method:
- Prepare the Mango Puree: Cut the mangoes into cubes and blend them to form a smooth paste.
- Cook the Puree: Take a pan and put the mango purée in it. Stir for 3-4 minutes. Add the crushed candy sugar and continue stirring until the mixture becomes sticky.
- Add Flavors: Add black salt and chilli flakes to the mixture and mix well.
- Final Touch: Turn off the flame, add lemon juice, and mix well.
- Spread the Mixture: Grease a tray with ghee and spread the mixture evenly on it.
- Add Seeds: Sprinkle the mixed seeds over the spread mixture.
- Sun-Dry: Keep the tray in the sun for 1-2 days until the aam papad dries completely.
- Enjoy: Once dried, you can easily remove the aam papad from the tray and enjoy this delightful treat.
