Looking for a nutritious snack that keeps you full and energized? Roshni Chopra, a popular digital creator, has shared her recipe for Sattu Seed Protein Bars, inspired by nutritionist Neha Sahaya. These bars are packed with protein and essential nutrients, making them a perfect snack to curb those 4 pm cravings or to enjoy as a healthy dessert.

Why Sattu Seed Protein Bars?

Sattu is a powerhouse of protein, and when combined with seeds like flax, chia, and sunflower, these bars become an excellent source of healthy fats, fiber, and nutrients. This recipe is not only easy to make but also a guilt-free way to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients and Preparation

For the Seed Mix:

1 tsp each of flax seeds, chia seeds, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds
Roast the seeds and allow them to cool. Once cooled, coarsely grind them.

Sattu Mix:

Roast ¾ cup of sattu powder and set it aside.

For the Paste:

Grind 2 medjool dates (add more for extra sweetness) and 4 tbsp of unsweetened peanut butter into a smooth paste.

Steps to Make the Protein Bars

  • Combine the Seed Mix and Sattu: Mix the roasted seed blend with the sattu powder. Sprinkle in a little elaichi (cardamom) for flavor.
  • Form the Paste: Add the date and peanut butter paste to the dry ingredients. If the mixture doesn't bind well, add more peanut butter or a tablespoon of ghee.
  • Set and Chill: Press the mixture into a mold and refrigerate for 6 hours.
  • Cut into Bars: After refrigeration, cut into bite-sized pieces. These bars can be stored in the fridge for up to 7 days.

Why You Should Try It

Packed with protein, fiber, and healthy fats, these Sattu Seed Protein Bars are a great option for anyone looking for a healthy, homemade snack. Whether you're looking for something to nibble on between meals or a nutritious dessert, these bars are the perfect solution. Plus, they're easy to make and store!
