Rajma Chawal Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of rice
- 1/2 cup of black gram (urad Dal)
- 1/2 cup of Beans (Rajma)
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tbsp of coriander seeds powder
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1/2 tsp Hing
- 1/2 tsp of Jeera
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 cup tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 tsp Pepper corns
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 1” cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Ghee
Step-5-step Rajma Chawal Recipe:
- Soak rice separately; soak Rajma and Urad dal overnight, then pressure-cook until soft.
- Heat ghee, sauté jeera, cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon, and hing.
- Then add chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste and sauté until golden
- Then add tomatoes and cook till soft.
- Mix in cooked Rajma and Urad dal.
- Then add coriander powder, garam masala, pepper powder and salt.
- Then simmer for 10 minutes.
- Boil rice until fluffy, drain excess water.
- Serve hot Rajma over steamed rice.
Walnut Raita Recipe:
- 1 cup Dahi
- 1 tsp Jeera powder
- 1 tsp Black salt
- 1 tbsp chopped walnuts, roasted
- 2 tsp green chillies, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic, chopped
- 1 tbsp ghee
Chop your roasted walnuts
- Whisk dahi until smooth paste
- Add walnuts and other spices to the dahi
- Now warm up the ghee and add chopped green chillies, garlic and some red chili powder to the tadka
- Now pour that tadka into the dahi-walnut paste and it's ready to eat.
