Ingredients:
- 1 cup moong dal (Soaked for 2-3 hour)
- 1 cup daliya
- 2-3 cloves
- Cinnamon Stick
- Ghee
- Cumin and mustard seeds
- Dry peanut
- Asafoetida Powder
- Garlic
- 1 potato
- Red chili
- 1 onion finely chopped
- Coriander powder
- Turmeric powder
- Garam masala
- Sweet corn and Green peas
Method:
- Take 1 cup Broken Wheat & 1 cup Whole Moong both should be soaked for 2-3 hours.
- Add 2 cups of water & salt as per taste.
- Add 1 small Cinnamon Stick & 2-3 Cloves.
- Pressure cook up to 3 whistles on medium heat & Keep it aside.
- Further heat 1 spoon of Ghee in a pan.
- Add 1 tsp Mustard Seeds, 1 tsp Cumin Seeds & Dry Peanuts.
- Add a pinch of Asafoetida Powder.
- Then Add 2-3 finely chopped Garlic Cloves, 1 finely chopped small Onion & finely chopped Green Chillies (as per taste).
- Add Salt as per taste & 1 Potato, cut into pieces.
- Cover the lid to cook potatoes.
- Further add 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder, 2 tsp Coriander Powder, 1 tsp Turmeric Powder & 1 tsp Garam Masala.
- Fry everything well & Add finely chopped veggies (Carrot, Capsicum & Tomato), boiled Sweet Corn & Green Peas
- Let the veggies partially cook
- Then add boiled daliya and moong
- Mix everything together and cook for a while
- Add finely chopped Coriander on top
- Take Khichdi on a serving plate
- Enjoy Scrumptious Khichdi with Dahi, Papad, Achar & Ghee
