The Love for Indian Sweets
Sweets are something all Indians are fond of. Even though chocolates have dominated much of the market, the taste of authentic Indian sweets is unmatchable. Varying from one state to another, India is not only diverse in cultures but in cuisines too. Ripu Handa shared the recipe for an authentic Punjabi sweet dish, Atta Pinni, in his latest Instagram reel.
Undoubtedly, desi ghee is an inevitable part of Indian sweets, especially when it comes to Punjab. The reel begins with frying Gond in a pan of Desi Ghee, then removed to another bowl. Proceeding further, he roasts grated dry fruits in the same pan and crunches the fried Gond. He mentioned the ingredients and quantity in the caption of the reel.
The Art of Making Pinni
Then comes the crucial step of the process adding Ghee and Atta to the pan and roasting it. The colour will begin to change to a darker shade of brown. He shared a tip to figure out when it's ready. If the oil rises, you will know you are in the right direction. After transferring the paste to another plate, mix elaichi powder and sugar and stir well. Mix fried and crushed gond, pistachio, and dry fruits as the paste begins to cool. He gave an insight into shaping Pinni the right way, concluding the reel.
Besides showing the process of making Pinni, Ripu's reel gave a nostalgic touch to everyone watching. The ethnicity of culture lies in its food, and Pinni is the best known in the North Indian states.
