Paneer Kofta Curry:

Ingredients:

For Kofta:

  • Paneer 200 grams
  • Boiled Potato 1
  • Besan 1/4 Cup
  • Red Chilli 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Green Chilli 1
  • Oil 1 tbsp

For Gravy:

  • Oil 1 tsp
  • Black Peppercorns 3
  • Clove 2
  • Bay Leaf 1
  • Cinnamon Stick 1/2
  • Jeera 1 tsp
  • Onion 1 Medium
  • Green Chilli 1
  • Ginger 1/2 Inch
  • Garlic 6
  • Cashew 8
  • Tomatoes 3 Big
  • Water 1 Cup
  • Cover & Cook 15 Mins
  • Paneer 30 Grams
  • Oil 2 tsp
  • Kashmiri Red Chilli 1/2 tbsp
  • Water 1/2 Cup
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander Powder 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Fresh Cream 1 tsp
  • Kasuri Methi 1 tbsp

Steps:

  1. Take a mixing bowl. Add paneer, Boiled Potato, besan, and spices mentioned in the ingredients list. Mix and make dough. Divide the dough into 8 to 10 Kofta balls.
  2. Cook the Kofta using an appam pan. Use very little oil. Cover and cook on low flame for 7-8 mins then cook from other sides. Cook on low flame for a total of 20 minutes to make sure it's nicely cooked from inside.
  3. For Gravy, heat some oil and add whole spices, jeera, ginger garlic chili, onion, tomato, and Cashew. Saute for 2-3 mins. Add water and then cover and cook for 15 mins.
  4. Blend the mixture once it's slightly cool.
  5. Heat some more oil and add Kashmiri Red Chilli. Immediately strain and add the gravy.
  6. Add other spices along with salt and some water. Cover and cook for 5-7 mins.
  7. Add fresh cream, kasuri methi, and Kofta balls.
  8. Enjoy with any Indian bread of your choice.
