Introduction
Maintaining a healthy diet is necessary for school kids. Getting adequate nutrients helps build strong immunity and a sharp brain. With children throwing tantrums while eating, preparing a meal with perfect taste and nutritional value is challenging. Taking the problem into consideration, Kabita shared easy-to-prepare lunchbox meal ideas.
Healthy Macaroni/ Pasta
To prepare mouthwatering macaroni/pasta, Kabita cooks chopped green chilli, garlic, and onion. She adds chopped carrots, red pepper, capsicum, tomato, and French beans to add more flavour to the dish. After cooking the vegetables for 2-3 minutes, Kabita adds tomato ketchup and mayonnaise. Upon adding boiled pasta to the pan, she seasons the dish with salt, chilli flakes, and oregano. To make the dish healthier, she suggests wheat pasta. With minimal effort, healthy and delicious wheat pasta is ready in no time.
Besan Roll
Moving on to the second dish, Kabita kneads wheat flour dough with a pinch of salt. Following steps similar to preparing roti, she rolls a medium-sized ball of dough. Before cooking it, Kabita prepares a mixture of besan, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, and water. As Kabita cooks the second side of the roti, she puts the prepared mixture on it and cooks it as well. The prepared roti can be rolled or sliced into pieces.
Delicious and Nutritious Pancakes
Kabita prepares healthy pancakes by mixing suji, curd, and water. After waiting for 15 minutes, she adds chopped vegetables to the mixture. After adding soda, she cooks the batter from both sides in a pan with oil and mustard seeds on a low flame. Slicing it into pieces, she prepares another healthy lunchbox.
Garlic Butter Parantha and Sandwiches
Kabita kneads wheat flour dough with salt and prepares a garlic and butter mixture. Making a kneading ball, she applies the mixture in the centre and prepares the parantha. She ends the reel with a sandwich and spreads mayonnaise and ketchup on the bread. Kabita adds cucumbers, tomatoes, and a cheese slice to complete the last-minute recipe. She also suggests adding fruit along with the dishes to make the lunchbox healthier.
