Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Roasted Makhana
  • 1/2 cup Poha
  • 1/2 cup Sooji
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • Water (to adjust consistency)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1.5 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 cup Red and Yellow Bell Pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup Onions (finely chopped)
  • Handful of Coriander (chopped)
  • 1 sprig Curry Leaves
  • 1 Grated Carrot

Instructions:

  • Grind the roasted makhana into a coarse powder.
  • Soak the poha for a few minutes until soft, then drain excess water.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the makhana powder, poha, sooji, and curd. Add water to adjust the batter consistency.
  • Add salt, baking soda, and mix well.
  • Stir in the chopped vegetables—bell peppers, onions, grated carrot, coriander, and curry leaves.
  • Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease it. Pour a ladle of the batter onto the pan and cook until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve your delicious Poha Makhana Uttapam with chutney or sambar!
