As the festival season of Navratri approaches, many people look for healthy and tasty foods to keep up their energy while fasting. Nitya Hegde, a food influencer, offered a delicious recipe for Raw Banana Rajgeera Paratha. This gluten-free dish is high in essential nutrients and provides an excellent energy boost, making it ideal for celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1.5 cup Rajgeera / Amaranth flour
- 2 Raw Banana steamed and mashed
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Sesame Seed
- 1 tsp Garam Masala (homemade)
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 1 Green Chilli
- 3 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tsp Cumin seed
- 1 + 1 tsp Oil
- 1/2 cup Water
Method
- Start by grating or mashing the steamed raw bananas until they are smooth.
- In a bowl, combine the mashed bananas with the rajgeera flour, salt, sesame seeds, garam masala, turmeric, green chili, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, and 1 teaspoon of oil. Mix well.
- Add water to the ingredients gradually, kneading until it forms a soft dough. Be cautious not to add too much water at once; the dough should be flexible but not sticky.
- Take a small portion of dough and spread it out on a banana leaf. Spread it into a round shape to form mini parathas.
- Heat a tawa or pan and add a little oil. Place the paratha in a heated skillet and cook on both sides until golden brown. If you want it extra crispy, add a little more oil.
- Enjoy these nutritious parathas with a serving of curd or your favorite veggie sabzi.
This Raw Banana Rajgeera Paratha is not only tasty, but it also helps you stay energized throughout Navratri. With basic ingredients and simple instructions, you can prepare this nutritious dish and spend the festive season with joy and nourishment!
