- ¾ cup curd
- ½ cup water
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp urad dal
- 1 finely chopped onion
- Few curry leaves
- Fresh coriander
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- Oil (for cooking)
For Kara Chutney:
- 1 tbsp chana dal
- 1 tbsp urad dal
- 1 roughly chopped onion
- 1 roughly chopped tomato
- 3-4 soaked Kashmiri red chilies
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- Few curry leaves
- 2 dried red chilies
- Oil (for tempering)
Step-by-Step Guide to Making Instant Bun Dosa
Step 1: Prepare the Batter
Mix rava (suji), curd, and water in a bowl and let it rest for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, heat oil and prepare a tadka by sautéing mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, onions, and curry leaves. Keep it aside.
Transfer the rava-curd mixture to a blender and blend until smooth.
Step 2: Add Tadka & Final Touches
Mix the prepared tadka into the dosa batter along with fresh coriander. Add ¼ tsp baking soda and a little water, mixing well to achieve a smooth consistency.
Step 3: Cook the Bun Dosa
Heat a tadka pan, grease it lightly, and pour a ladleful of batter.
Cover and cook on low-medium heat until golden brown and fluffy.
Flip gently and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
