Popular fitness influencer Prableen Kaur gets candid about her fitness journey with whosthat360. In an exclusive conversation, she shares tips, her goals, and much more.

Here are a few edited excerpts from the delightful conversation;

What is your go-to exercise for a quick energy boost? 

I work on my breath for a quick energy boost. It helps me a lot otherwise too.  

How do you stay motivated to work out regularly? 

I am not always motivated, but I am always disciplined towards what I do. Motivation will come today and go tomorrow. It's only the discipline and the hunger to achieve my goal that keeps me going. 

What is your favorite healthy snack or meal? 

Fruit is my go-to, any day. 

What is the most challenging fitness goal you've achieved so far? 

Starting with freestyle calisthenics was the most challenging goal for me, which required not only physical but also mental strength.  

What is your favorite form of cardio exercise? 

Freestyle calisthenics is a form of cardio that I do and love. Otherwise, I also enjoy cycling and swimming.  

Do you prefer working out alone or with a partner? 

I prefer working out with a partner, but only with strong ones.  

What is your top tip for fitting exercise into a busy schedule? 

Keep your workout clothes handy and start it wherever you are. That's why we have calisthenics, which can be done anywhere without equipment. If not, use your break in your day just to keep yourself moving. Walk or take the stairs Maybe just do some push-ups, and squats here and there.  

How do you overcome workout plateaus and keep making progress? 

By switching up my routine. It can be the intensity of the workout or even incorporating new exercises. Also, one should not forget about resting, relaxing, and recovering, which is the most important thing for growth   

What is your favorite way to recover and relax after a tough workout? 

As a calisthenics athlete, my workouts are usually tough every day. So my favourite way is to feed my body with protein, fat, and carbs and just sleep.  

What is your favorite fitness Instagram account to follow? 

I don't have any favorites yet.  

What is your favorite way to celebrate a fitness accomplishment? 

Treat myself to a feast (Cheat meal). It's like a reward for myself.  

How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance while prioritizing fitness? 

By scheduling my workouts like I schedule my meetings.   

What is your biggest fitness goal for the future? 

I have 2 goals : 

1. I want to make people aware of how calisthenics can save one's life. Just like swimming is a survival skill, calisthenics should be too. One should know how to pull or push their body weight, which can be helpful in survival situations. 

2.  I want to dominate and win on the world stage of Calisthenics(Street Lifting).  

What is your advice for someone who is just starting on their fitness journey? 

My number 1 advice is to stay consistent. Start slowly and build up gradually. Your hard work will show and it's only going to help you live a longer and better life.
