Fitness and Wellness coach Miten Kakaiya gets candid about his journey with whosthat360 exclusively. He shares various secrets about his fitness regime and diet.

What is your go-to exercise for a quick energy boost?
It has to be Shoulder Overhead Presses. Many people struggle with increasing their strength in this exercise, but I've always enjoyed it. Shoulder Pressing gives me a true indication of my strength.
How do you stay motivated to work out regularly?
Motivation got me started; I wanted to get rid of my love handles. But as I started seeing results and enjoying the journey, I realized, “Success is never owned. It is leased, and the rent is due every day.” This motto helps me stay disciplined with my diet and workouts, not relying solely on motivation. After 9 years of regular training and diet control, I know I wouldn't have come this far if I relied only on motivation. Discipline gets me to the gym even when I feel unmotivated, and once there, the vibe takes over, leading to a great workout.
What is your favorite healthy snack or meal?
My favorite is the “MSF Power Protein,” a meal I designed filled with protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats, and essential micronutrients. It's a secret recipe enjoyed only by my MSF clients and me. We have it every morning, and it helps us with energy levels, alertness, focus, and even satisfies our sweet tooth.
What is the most challenging fitness goal you've achieved so far?
The most challenging goal was getting rid of my love handles, a struggle I faced for over 5 years. Once I discovered the power of a natural, scientific diet, adapted to my daily life, my love handles vanished in less than 2 months. This experience inspired me to help others achieve similar results using science-backed techniques.
What is your favorite form of cardio exercise?
My favorite is 30 minutes of cardio in the aerobic zone 2, three times a week. This is a balance between high and low-intensity cardio. Aim for 180 beats per minute minus your age. Aerobic exercise increases mitochondrial density, crucial for energy production, and supports the lymphatic system by helping transport waste and deliver nutrients.
Do you prefer working out alone or with a partner?
I started working out alone but now enjoy working out with my life partner, Amrapali. We met at the gym, and she was my gym crush. After getting to know her, I asked her out, and now we're married and train together. We motivate and hold each other accountable, and I've become even more consistent since we got married.
What is your top tip for fitting exercise into a busy schedule?
Don't be rigid about finding the “right” time to work out. What matters is that you work out, regardless of the time of day. Find a time that fits your schedule, block it on your calendar, and make no other appointments during that time. Prioritize your well-being and make workouts a non-negotiable part of your daily routine.

How do you overcome workout plateaus and keep making progress?
The easiest solution is to take a break for 1-3 weeks. This helps restore leptin and ghrelin hormone levels and gives your muscles time to rest and recover. For a technical approach, strategies include deload weeks, refeed days and cycling between bulking and cutting.
What is your favorite way to recover and relax after a tough workout?
Sleep! It's one of the most underrated aspects of fitness. Our body undergoes physical, physiological, and psychological repairs when we sleep.

What is your favorite way to celebrate a fitness accomplishment?
To be honest, I don't really celebrate accomplishments. I've never had that perspective.
How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance while prioritizing fitness?
By making fitness a non-negotiable part of my daily routine. From 8 am to 10 am, I focus on fitness activities, including gym time, travel, post-workout routine, and meals. I don't set any meetings during this time and ensure I go to bed on time to wake up early.
What is your biggest fitness goal for the future?
My biggest goal is to impact 1 million lives, inspiring and guiding them to achieve their personal fitness goals.
What is your advice for someone who is just starting on their fitness journey?
Understand that progress is slower than you think, and it's not linear. Social media might make it seem fast, but it's not. There will be ups and downs. Don't quit after a missed workout or wrong meal. Use it as motivation to get back on track with your next meal or workout.
