Dr. Ramita's Remedy:
Dr Ramita mentioned the Ayurvedic way to drink water to reduce indigestion.
You can sip on water with your meals:
Drinking little water during meals, especially if you have many indigestion issues, is okay. But make sure you don't 'drink' but 'sip' a minimum amount of water. It will tenderize the food to break it into smaller-sized granules that are easy to digest. It is helpful in the case of people having digestive issues. Also, toxins are released when we eat, so when we drink water with food, it helps flush out toxins from the body.
Avoid drinking water immediately post-meal:
Accordingly to Ayurveda, drinking water immediately after a meal will dilute gastric juices and diminish the digestive fire that is required for digestion which can lead to indigestion issues.
You can also drink water 1 hour before and after meals.
Some points to remember
- Sit Down to Drink Water Rather than Standing.
- Avoid drinking large amounts of water at once.
- Water at room temperature or slightly warmed is the best. If you want to drink cold water, prefer Matka Water.
- Drink water first thing in the morning.
Her remedy may help you with indigestion issues, but it's always better to consult the doctor if you face any health-related issues.
