Dr. Ramita Kaur, a well-known nutritionist, highlights the importance of understanding and addressing these signals to maintain good health and well-being. Along with this, she also highlights the foods that help you to overcome a particular health issue. Here, Ramita shares her list of health issues and how to overcome them.
Body Pains:
Potassium deficiency: It is a mineral that is essential for all the body's functions. It helps your nerves, muscles, body pain, and heart function properly and helps to move nutrients and waste around the cell.
Sources: Bananas, sweet potatoes, spinach, beetroot, avocados, coconut water etc. These all foods are potassium-rich and help to boost your potassium levels rapidly.
Rough and Dry Skin:
Zinc Deficiency: If you are suffering from zinc deficiency, it can result in skin changes that look like dry rough, and itchy skin, that becomes difficult to improve with moisture, lotion, or steroids.
Sources: If you want to avoid these skin issues then you have to consume zinc-rich food like- Oats, pumpkin seeds, chickpeas, cashews, etc.
Belly Area Fat:
Excess Estrogen: Estrogen is a hormone that is essential for male and female health and sexual development. The main reason for increasing belly area fat is excess estrogen. Also affects hair loss, the reproductive system, etc.
Sources: Eat more cruciferous, carrots, soya, and mushrooms for estrogen elimination.
Muscle Cramp:
Magnesium Deficiency: One of the important minerals required by our body. If you are suffering from muscle cramps, fatigue, and weakness then it's a clear sign of Magnesium deficiency.
Sources: Spinach, cashews, cacao, Avocado, pumpkin seeds, all these foods are rich sources of magnesium, and an individual has to add these foods to their daily diet.
Ice Craving:
Iron Deficiency: Iron deficiency is when your body doesn't have enough iron. When there isn't enough iron in your blood, the rest of your body can't get the amount of oxygen it needs. Craving and chewing ice is often associated with iron deficiency.
Sources: Leafy greens, black raisins, prunes, lentils, etc are rich in iron. You have to add these to avoid iron deficiency.
Tingling of Hands and Feet:
Vitamin B12 Deficiency: Vitamin B12 does a lot of things for your body. It helps make your DNA and your red blood cells. And if you are suffering from tangling of hands and feet then you have vitamin B12 deficiency.
Sources: Eggs, spinach, cheese, and milk are rich in vitamin B12.
