Munawar's New Abode:

The transaction was registered on September 16, 2024, for which a stamp duty of ₹36.6 lakh was paid along with registration fees of ₹30,000, according to the documents.

Details About the Purchase:

Faruqui's new home is situated in Lodha Aura, an under-construction project developed by listed real estate developer Macrotech Developers Limited also known as Lodha. The apartment spans across 1,767.97 sq ft of built-up area and includes three dedicated parking spaces, the documents reveal.

The 40-story tower offers luxurious 3 BHK and 4 BHK apartments with a range of amenities. Faruqui's purchase was a part of a primary market transaction, made directly from the developer, according to information sourced by Square Yards.

Munawar has recently made headlines with reported 'death threats'. During ECL, the police received intelligence inputs about the same. The suspicious things took place at the IGI Indoor Stadium and The Suryaa Hotel in south Delhi, where Faruqui was staying.

About the Case:

At the hotel, a team led by DCP Pratiksha Godara inspected the area, scrutinized entry and exit points, and verified guests' identities. A hotel staffer mentioned that Faruqui was staying on the first floor, which was thoroughly checked by the police. Security at the hotel was tightened, with plain-clothes officers stationed throughout. DCP Godara asked Faruqui to take precautions, prompting him to leave for Mumbai. Faruqui later explained that he left as he had a flight to catch and chose not to comment on the security issue, citing concerns.
