Gen Z Influencer Mansi Ugale Hosts Charity Closet Sale

Mansi Ugale, a renowned Mumbai-based content creator and lifestyle influencer, celebrated her 24th birthday by hosting a charity closet sale event on September 14, 2023. Inspired by the global movement of 'closet cleanse for a cause', Mansi auctioned over 100 pieces from her collection, with all proceeds directed towards YODA, a youth organization committed to animal welfare. Not only did this event declutter her closet, but it also empowered the Gen Z community to engage in charitable acts.

I'd Love to Host These on a Quarterly Basis, says Mansi

 An avid animal lover Mansi Ugale shares, “Having cleaned out my wardrobe last month, I realized that I have bags and bags of items that need a new home so I can't wait to kick this off. I was obsessed with clothes growing up, but it was my profession that made me a collector. At the beginning of my career, I became immersed in the fashion industry, and I was constantly acquiring really fabulous items in my closet. I looked for pieces that represented a season or told the story of the current trends. But then it took over my life as I became closet rich and I want to liberate myself from these possessions. Now I feel it's chic to repeat and the best new clothes are old clothes. Also being an influencer in the fashion space means, despite your best efforts, items still pile up and if I can share those with my community while also giving back to an amazing charity in the process, then that makes me happy! I'd love to host these on a quarterly basis, but will evaluate further once we get our first sale off the ground.”
