On the day of Sarva Pitru Amavasya, you can perform Shradh, Pind Daan, donation, etc. for your ancestors anytime between 11:00 am to 03:30 pm. On the day of Amavasya, after taking a bath in the holy rivers one should offer prayers, donations, etc. for your ancestors.

How do we ensure that ancestors are pleased with offerings on Sarva Pitru Amavasya?

To ensure that ancestors are pleased with offerings one can look out for the following signs:
 

• Coming of ancestors in dreams and seeing them happy.
• Seeing a snake protecting itself in the dream
• Re-blooming of withered plants in Pitru Paksha
• Crow sitting on the terrace or courtyard during Pitru Paksha
• A hungry or needy person asking for food from you during Pitru Paksha.
• Any animal-eating food that you kept during Pitru Paksha.
• ⁠If there is any obstacle in your work then it will go away as soon as you remember your ancestors

What astrological remedies can be performed on Sarva Pitru Amavasya to overcome challenges?

On the day of Sarvapitri Amavasya, wake up early in the morning and take a bath in the holy river. If it is not possible to do this, you can also take a bath at home by mixing Ganga water in bath water. After this, perform Tarpan and Pind Daan for the ancestors. Also, on this day, offer Shradh to Panchbali i.e. god, cow, dog, crow, and ant.
